The Role Black Semiconductor is looking for a Category Manager – Semiconductor Materials (f/m/d) to strengthen our growing team in Aachen, Germany. In this role, you will lead strategic sourcing and supplier management activities for materials critical to semiconductor manufacturing. You will ensure continuity of supply, optimize total cost of ownership, and maintain quality compliance while adapting to evolving technology requirements and market conditions. To join our team, you should be excited to take ownership of: Develop and execute global sourcing strategies for semiconductor materials, including wafers, photoresists, CMP slurries, specialty gases, chemicals, and other critical materials. Identify, qualify, and manage strategic suppliers while ensuring alignment with technology roadmaps, quality standards, and production requirements. Negotiate contracts, pricing, and commercial terms to achieve cost targets while securing reliable supply. Monitor semiconductor material markets, supplier performance, pricing trends, and supply chain risks to identify opportunities and mitigation strategies.
