Job description
About Ramp Ramp is building the smart infrastructure for finance teams, embedded in the transaction flow of every dollar a business spends. We automate how over $200B in annualized spend flows in and out of 70,000+ companies: authorizing payments, flagging risk, categorizing spend, and closing books. The problems are high-stakes, data-dense, and unforgiving. We hire people with high agency and high urgency. We look for slope over intercept. We care less about where you trained and more about what you’ve built. At Ramp, everyone is a builder who owns problems end to end and makes consequential decisions that shape the outcome. The median Ramp customer saves 5% and grows revenue 16% in their first year – far in excess of businesses operating without Ramp. We believe every ambitious company deserves the same. If you want to build systems that directly shape how companies move and manage billions, Ramp is the place to do it. About the Role Ramp is hiring a Director of Technical Consulting to lead the post-sales Technical Consultant (TC) organization. This leader will own how Ramp helps complex customers move from signed deal to successful activation, with particular focus on technical implementation, integrations, and the operating model that allows the team to scale. You will lead a growing organization of Technical Consultants and frontline managers, partnering closely with Customer Success, Account Management, Product, and Engineering. TCs are the technical counterpart in Ramp’s post-sales motion: they help customers navigate integration and implementation complexity, translate customer requirements into clear technical paths, and bring the right internal teams together when a solution needs to scale. This is not a traditional pre-sales Solutions Consulting role, and it is not a pure professional-services model. We are looking for a leader who can combine technical implementation judgment with strong people leadership, operational rigor, and the ability to build durable systems in a fast-moving environment. What You’ll Do Lead and develop Ramp’s Technical Consulting organization, including frontline managers and a growing team of Technical Consultants. Define the operating model for Technical Consulting: team structure, capacity planning, engagement rules, escalation paths, and a clear partnership model with Customer Success, Account Management, and Forward…
