Job Summary The ECO Engineer is responsible for managing and coordinating Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) initiated by customers. This role serves as the key focal point between customers and internal cross-functional teams to ensure all engineering changes are reviewed, communicated, planned, and implemented accurately while meeting quality, cost, and delivery requirements. Key Responsibilities Receive and review Engineering Change (EC/ECO) notifications from customers through designated systems and platforms. Coordinate customer-driven changes related to: Product design Components and materials Manufacturing processes Equipment and tooling Documentation and specifications Analyze the impact of engineering changes on production, inventory, quality, procurement, and supply chain activities. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Planning, Procurement, and Program Management, to ensure successful implementation of changes. Facilitate change review meetings and track progress to ensure all actions are completed according to schedule. Communicate engineering change requirements, timelines, and implementation plans to relevant internal stakeholders. Monitor customer change requests and drive timely execution while minimizing operational disruption. Maintain accurate ECO records, documentation, and change history within company systems. Support risk assessment activities associated with engineering changes and propose mitigation actions when necessary. Ensure all engineering changes are implemented in compliance with customer requirements and internal procedures.
