What You'll Do As an Engineering Manager , you’ll lead the Nav iOS SDK team in advancing the maps and navigation ecosystem at Mapbox. In this role, you will: Mentor and Develop Talent: Support and inspire engineers, fostering a culture of growth, creativity, and innovation. Promote Collaboration and Innovation: Build an inclusive and collaborative environment where data-driven decisions fuel success. Drive Strategic Objectives: Align your team’s work with company and product goals, ensuring strategic cohesion. Define Product Roadmaps: Partner with Product and Engineering teams to shape the roadmap for our Nav SDKs. Shape the Vision: Play a key role in envisioning and evolving our rendering engines, contributing to business and product planning. What We Believe are Important Traits for This Role Leadership Experience: 3+ years of engineering management experience. Proven track record of leading technical teams to deliver impactful products. Experience managing cross-functional teams of 5+ people. Technical Expertise: Minimum of 5+ years of professional experience in mobile software development (iOS or Android). Experience developing Mobile SDKs, including SDK architecture, API design, and design patterns, is a nice-to-have.
