The role As a Senior Engineering Technician, you’ll play a pivotal role in building and scaling the engineering operations that enable Wayve’s autonomous vehicle platform. You’ll lead a small team of Engineering Technicians while remaining deeply hands-on, partnering closely with Electrical, Mechanical, Systems and Software Engineers to rapidly prototype, integrate, troubleshoot and validate cutting-edge hardware. This is an opportunity to bring proven technician expertise into a fast-paced robotics environment, establishing best practices while helping the team move quickly without compromising quality. Key responsibilities: Lead, mentor and develop a team of Engineering Technicians. Own day-to-day lab operations, hardware bring-up, integration and vehicle support activities. Execute and oversee electrical, mechanical and system-level builds, modifications and repairs. Partner with engineering teams to diagnose complex hardware and integration issues across development programs. Develop and improve technician workflows, lab processes and documentation to increase efficiency and quality. Support prototype builds, validation activities and engineering change implementation. Drive a culture of safety, craftsmanship and continuous improvement within the technician team.
