Job description

About the role: Join the Machine Learning department at Quantum Systems and contribute to autonomy and perception functions for our unmanned vehicles across air, land and sea domains. During this 12-month internship, you will work with experienced engineers on practical machine learning projects—from preparing sensor data, training and evaluating cutting-edge supervised models and improving the workflows on the cloud that bring our functions into real systems. Your project focus will depend on your interests, skills, and the team’s priorities. What is your Day to Day Mission: Our machine learning pipeline offers different internship areas of expertise including, but not limited to: Prepare, inspect, and curate datasets from cameras, LiDAR, telemetry, and other sensor sources. Support the development, training, and evaluation of machine learning and computer vision models. Help test and improve models for deployment on resource-constrained embedded systems. Contribute to reproducible training and evaluation workflows, including data and model tracking. Analyze results, document experiments, and share findings with colleagues across machine learning tasks, hardware, testing, and operations. Manage and extend our cloud services to automate and accelerate machine learning development. Develop and integrate AI agents that automate and streamline employee workflows across the development lifecycle. Improve the reliability, monitoring, security, and cost efficiency of our ML infrastructure. What you bring to the team: You are currently studying computer science, artificial intelligence, data science, or a related engineering subject, and are looking for a 12-month internship. You already have practical experience in machine learning and are interested in applying them to real-world systems. You can write Python and have used it for coursework, personal projects, or research. You are curious, analytical, and comfortable learning new tools and working through technical problems with a team. You communicate confidently in English and are able to explain your work and discuss ideas with colleagues. It is a plus if you have: Worked with a deep learning framework such as PyTorch or explored computer vision. Used Git and Linux, or worked with Docker, Kubernetes, cloud platforms, or GPU-based training. Handled image, geospatial, LiDAR, or other sensor data, or have an int…
