Job description
About the Team OpenAI's Marketing team helps people understand complex technology, research, and product advances through creative work. Our launch work brings researchers, product teams, product marketers, communications partners, and creatives together to introduce new capabilities to the world. We produce visual identities, films, demos, web content, and social assets that make the work clear and compelling while staying faithful to what the technology can do. Sitting with the Marketing org, the Launch Team works in close partnership with Research and Product Marketing. We build a shared understanding of the technology and the launch story, then bring creative teams together to turn that work into clear, coordinated launches. You'll work closely with Research to understand the capabilities, limitations, and context behind each launch, then help creative teams turn that understanding into strong work. You'll own the production plan and day-to-day delivery across internal teams and external partners. You'll bring calm judgment, technical curiosity, and respect for creative craft to fast-moving work where accuracy matters as much as timing. This role is based in San Francisco, CA. We use a hybrid work model of three days in the office per week and offer relocation assistance to new employees. Occasional travel will be required. In this role, you will: Build close working relationships with Researchers and various technical product partners. Partner with Research, Product, Product Marketing, Communications, and Creative leads to turn launch priorities into clear briefs, deliverables, production scopes, and approval plans. Own work from creative development through final handoff. Set milestones and owners, track dependencies, and surface changes in research readiness, scope, or timing with practical options. Produce integrated launch assets across design, motion, film, demos, web, and social, including creative assets for research blogs and system cards. Bring specialist teams together around a consistent story. Manage production resources and external part…
