WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH This role typically reports to a Director of Software Engineering within Global Converse, ITC and partners across Financial Services and enterprise technology functions. • Finance product managers, business analysts, controllers, accounting, treasury, tax, and audit partners • Enterprise resource planning (ERP), order management, supply chain, retail, and commerce technology teams • Platform Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), Data Engineering, Security, and Architecture partners • External technology partners, payment providers, financial institutions, and software vendors WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR We are seeking a Lead Software Engineer - Financial Services for Global Converse. You are a strategic, hands-on engineering leader who can translate complex financial requirements into secure, scalable, reliable, and auditable technology solutions. You bring strong expertise in distributed systems, enterprise integrations, data integrity, and financial process enablement. You will provide technical direction, architectural guidance, and delivery leadership while improving the maturity of Converse financial technology capabilities across the enterprise. You are comfortable operating in environments where accuracy, reconciliation, traceability, controls, security, and system availability are critical. You collaborate effectively with finance and technology stakeholders, simplify complex systems, and mentor engineering teams to deliver measurable business outcomes. QUALIFICATIONS • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Finance Technology, or a related field. • 10+ years of professional software engineering experience building, integrating, and operating production systems, with demonstrated technical leadership. • Experience designing microservices, domain-driven solutions, event-driven architectures, and RESTful APIs using languages such as Java/Kotlin, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Node.js, or Go. • Hands-on experience with cloud-native services, preferably AWS services such as EC2, ECS, API Gateway, Lambda, relational and non-relational databases, and container orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes. • Experience implementing CI/CD, infrastructure automation, observability, and DevOps practices, including ownership of production deployment and operational support. • Experience with financial s…
