Job Description: Maintains, troubleshoots and repairs all conveyor, sortation, and related material handling equipment; Heating, HVAC, plumbing and / or other specialized areas to ensure proper, safe and efficient mechanical / electrical operation within the Distribution Center. Examine parts and equipment to diagnose, troubleshoot, and perform repairs or installations in accordance with established safety procedures. Inspects completed repairs or installations. Maintains and repairs a variety of building operation systems to include plumbing, electrical, heating, refrigeration, sprinklers, etc. Recommend and implement improvements to equipment, operations and procedures. Prepare requisitions for new parts and equipment. May contact vendors for service or parts. Performs special projects or duties as assigned. May assist or guide other maintenance associates in preventative maintenance of equipment and / or safety procedures. Perform maintenance service in plumbing, carpentry, painting, electrical, and minor construction.
