Your Mission: As a Propulsion Design Engineer, you will join the Propulsion team and contribute to the development and certification of the VÆRIDION Microliners’ propulsion system. Your primary responsibility will be to mature the physical installation of the electric propulsion system and guide the design from concept through detailed design and release. You will translate system, interface and certification requirements into practical design solutions and take ownership of the associated 3D models, installation assemblies, and manufacturing drawings. You will work closely with the Propulsion, Systems, and Structures teams, as well as external development partners, to resolve integration challenges and deliver practical design solutions throughout the aircraft development cycle. The role will have a strong focus on hands-on CAD design, complemented by engineering analysis and certification activities. You will have the opportunity to define and mature the installation of one of the most advanced electric propulsion systems currently being developed. Your Day-to-Day: Mature the propulsion system installation from concept through detailed design and release, integrating it into the aircraft digital mock-up (DMU). Design and detail mechanical components, such as, brackets, supports, interfaces and assemblies in accordance with applicable aerospace design standards and manufacturing methods. Create and maintain complex 3D parts, assemblies and installation models using CATIA V6 within the 3DEXPERIENCE platform. Prepare and release detailed single part and assembly drawings, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards. Oversee the documentation process to ensure all drawings are up-to-date and correctly integrated within the PLM system. Assess system, interface and certification requirements and translate them into robust and practical design solutions. Develop installation solutions that account for structural integrity, environmental conditions, separation, accessibility, installation sequence, removal envelopes, inspection and maintainability.
