We are looking for a Requirements and Verification Systems Engineer (m/w/d) with a background in aerospace engineering to support our team in requirements management and verification for advanced deployable space structures. This role at Large Space Structures (LSS) is a multidisciplinary systems engineering position combining technical and coordination responsibilities across ongoing space projects. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing system requirements, supporting design activities, and ensuring coherent verification strategies across the project lifecycle. The position requires close collaboration with design, analysis, systems engineering, quality assurance, management, manufacturing, and test teams, as well as interaction with customers and suppliers. Tasks Consolidate, structure, develop, maintain and manage the requirements applicable to deployable space structures and mechanisms. Maintain and manage customer specifications and system requirement baselines. Ensure traceability between customer, system, subsystem and component requirements. Perform requirements flow-down to internal engineering teams, subcontractors and suppliers. Support engineering teams by translating system requirements into clear and implementable technical specifications. Influence new product development through structured and data-driven requirements analysis. Support the definition of project scope, system boundaries and technical assumptions together with internal stakeholders. Support Business Development activities through the review and analysis of system-level requirements for incoming projects and proposals. Work closely with the different engineering disciplines to support concept generation, technical trade-offs and requirement compliance assessments.
