We're building an AI-based Operating System for sales, planning, installation and operation of heat pumps and integrated energy systems – from single-family homes to multi-unit buildings, and across our Energy Community as a Virtual Power Plant. The Role As a Backend Engineer at GALVANY, you will be a core architect of our AI-based Operating System. You'll design and scale the systems that bridge the gap between complex energy hardware and seamless digital experiences. Whether you are optimizing our Virtual Power Plant, building high-performance APIs for our customer apps, or engineering the core platform that powers our entire business, your work will be the backbone of the energy transition. Responsibilities: Design and implement robust, event-driven architectures using Go and Kafka to support a diverse range of product domains. Develop high-quality APIs and data integrations that connect our platform to physical devices, external markets, and user-facing interfaces. Integrate LLMs and machine learning models into backend services to solve complex problems and enhance our "Gen AI" infrastructure. Take end-to-end responsibility for services, from initial design and testing to deployment and long-term observability. Design and implement automation solutions that create real business value – be open to workflow engines (e.g. n8n) and low-code platforms (e.g. Airtable) alongside custom code.
