The Team You'll Work With You'll be joining Carta Law's UK Contracts team as a subject-matter expert in pre-M&A contract law. Carta Law is the largest AI-native law firm for private capital, born from the combination of Avantia Law and Carta. Our lawyers and paralegals work alongside embedded AI agents to deliver investor onboarding, transaction KYC, and high-volume legal work with a speed and consistency traditional firms can't match. As a Senior Contract Lawyer, you'll lead high-value negotiations, own key client relationships, and play a significant role in developing our more junior lawyers and the wider paralegal team. As a Senior Contract Lawyer, you'll work to: Lead the negotiation of high-value, complex pre-M&A contracts and multi-party agreements across the client portfolio. Own and independently manage key client relationships with sophisticated investment fund and asset manager clients. Manage external counsel instructions and supervision across relevant matters. Drive continuous improvement of Carta's legal technology suite, including Carta Ava — identifying, piloting, and embedding new capabilities. Mentor and develop E4 Contract Lawyers and senior paralegals, reviewing their work and providing structured feedback.
