Job Description CD PROJEKT RED is looking for a talented and passionate Senior Gameplay Designer (Enemies/NPC) to join our team and help us develop a new game in the Witcher Saga! You will play a crucial role in developing behaviors for our unique NPCs and enemies in order to provide our players with engaging, fun and challenging encounters and interactions. You will also act as a mentor and expert resource in all NPCs and enemies related matters. If you are ready to take on such a challenge, don’t hesitate and apply! :) Daily Responsibilities: Design and implementation of NPCs, and enemies behavior subsystems. Collaboration with designers, programmers and other project stakeholders to develop and refine mechanics that enhance player immersion and satisfaction. Designing and prototyping unique enemy, NPC and character companions behaviors, reactions, abilities and weaknesses - both humans and monsters. Iterating on behavior through playtesting and feedback, to create engaging and dynamic experiences. Creation of clear and detailed documentation for AI subsystems. Acting as a subject matter expert, mentoring the team. Qualifications At least 6 years of professional experience in a similar role, preferably in RPG/Action titles with melee-oriented combat. Proven success in creating compelling and innovative gameplay mechanics. Understanding programming/scripting NPCs behavior design and experience with game editors and game design tools. Experience in working with Unreal Engine 4 and/or Unreal Engine 5. Openness to receiving and giving feedback about your work. Ability to include others in the design process. Mentoring experience. Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-disciplinary teams and openness for changes & experimentation.
