About the Role: We’re looking for a Senior Strategic Sourcing Manager (all genders) to help shape and scale our Procurement function in Berlin. You will establish and implement strategic procurement processes, build the first material group strategies and drive their end-to-end implementation. You will prepare and lead contract negotiations and contribute to the professionalisation and digitisation of Procurement. Material Groups in Scope: Timber / CLT (cross-laminated timber) and related engineered wood products Steel (structural steel, connectors, fasteners, profiles) Windows / Façade systems (glazing, frames, façade elements, seals) MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) including HVAC, electrical components, piping and sub-assemblies What You'll Be Doing: 1) Build strategic procurement foundations Establish and implement strategic procurement processes (e.g., sourcing methodology, governance, templates, KPIs). Develop the first material group strategies (category roadmaps, supplier landscape, TCO logic, risk and sustainability criteria) and drive implementation across the organisation. Shape supplier segmentation and SRM routines (performance reviews, development plans, risk mitigation). Ensure cross-functional alignment with Engineering, Production, Quality and Project teams to translate requirements into scalable sourcing strategies. 2) Lead sourcing & negotiations Own supplier discovery, RFx, benchmarking and award decisions for construction-material categories. Prepare and execute commercial and contractual negotiations (pricing, frameworks, terms & conditions) in collaboration with Legal/Finance and key stakeholders.
