As a Software Release & Configuration Manager (m/f/d), you will be the central point of control for all software delivery activities across multiple software engineering teams. You will oversee feature development progress, manage release schedules, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality software for our advanced drone systems. You will coordinate daily operations, manage tickets and workflow, and act as the decision-maker when priorities conflict, always keeping delivery commitments on track. This roles requires a mix of technical understanding of software architecture, organizational skills and assertive leadership. In a highly skilled team, you will play a key role in pushing the boundaries of modern software solutions for our high-tech drones. You will work closely with stakeholders from our software teams as well as adjacent departments (such as hardware development and product management). By ensuring timely software deliveries, you will support Quantum-Systems in its mission to become the leader for aerial data collection solutions with unmanned aerial systems (sUAV). What is your Day to Day Mission: Own the release process for all software components, including embedded firmware, ground control software, and AI mission packages. Monitor and track development progress across multiple teams, ensuring alignment with release timelines. Manage configuration and version control for all software artifacts and environments. Lead daily stand-ups and coordination meetings, driving clarity and accountability. Maintain and prioritize the backlog, ensuring tickets are properly managed and resolved. Act as the decision authority when trade-offs are needed to meet delivery deadlines. Define and enforce release policies, including branching strategies, quality gates, and approval workflows. Collaborate with stakeholders (engineering, QA, product management) to ensure smooth and predictable releases. Continuously improve release processes, introducing automation and best practices where possible. What you bring to the team: A successfully completed degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or a comparable qualification. 5+ years of experience in software release management, configuration management, or similar roles.
